Dr Jasper de Boer works across the life sciences translation pathway, supporting charities, researchers, and early-stage companies to move discoveries from bench to bedside. Oncology is his deepest area of expertise.

His work spans research priority setting, translational planning, clinical trial development, and research funding strategy across the medical research ecosystem in Australia and internationally.

Jasper works in partnership with clinicians, researchers, charities, and founders to connect scientific insight, translational sequencing, and funding decisions so research programs can progress toward clinical trials and patient impact.

His 57 Web of Science-indexed publications in oncology and immunology have been cited more than 2,400 times, including by 15 patents, and he has completed more than 50 verified peer reviews.

Selected experience includes:

• Supporting medical research charities to define research priorities and guide research funding decisions, including two years on the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity investment committee

• Designing translational pathways that move discovery research toward clinical testing, and coaching researchers to investment readiness

• Leading national multi-institutional oncology initiatives connecting clinical trial centres across Australia

• Securing more than $120 million in research and translational funding supporting oncology programs and infrastructure

• Serving in senior leadership roles at ANZCHOG and the VCCC Alliance across clinical trials, collaborative research programs, and translational strategy

• Leading translational paediatric oncology research programs at the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (UCL)
